Charles Blackman’s time in the Queensland sun

The Blue Alice draws parallels between Alice in Wonderland's nonsensical & unpredictable encounters & the real-world challenges Charles & his wife faced as a young couple. Across the series, the integration of the Blackmans’ personal experiences with those of Alice offers a whimsical transformation of the tale from fiction to reality.
